Marie-Noëlle Zen-Ruffinen holds a PhD in Law, a Master of Law and a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg.

She is Of Counsel in a Geneva-based business law firm and Professor at the University of Geneva, School of Economics and Management, where she teaches corporate law in particular. She is Chairman of the Swiss Board Institute, member of the Board of Management of the Swiss Institute of Directors, member of the Board of Directors of the Bâloise Group and member of the Board of Directors of Banco Santander International. Marie-Noëlle Zen-Ruffinen is the author and co-author of numerous publications, in particular of the reference book Le Conseil d’administration.
She is married and mother of two children.
